The kids are truly the reason behind Brave the Shave. We want to celebrate their strength and bravery together.
Do you know of a child who battled cancer, or who is currently undergoing treatment? With parental permission, we would like to honor him or her at our main shaving event along with our other Brave the Shave honorees.
Whether you are seeking financial support through the Brave the Shave Family Fund, registering as a new Honoree family, or nominating a courageous child in our community, we are here to help.
If you are a new honoree family please fill out our Family Information Form before filling out your Brave the Shave Request Form to help us get to know you.
How to Sign Up

Complete the initial Family Assistance Form to introduce your child and register your family with Brave the Shave. This establishes your profile, grants permissions, and gets you into our support system.
Already registered as a Brave the Shave family? You can skip the full registration form! Click here to submit a Quick Request for Assistance or contact your Family Care Coordinator directly.

Our Family Care team reviews your submission (typically within 24–48 hours) to verify eligibility. Once approved, you’ll receive a welcome message and a direct point of contact on our team.

As a registered family, you don't need to re-fill long intake forms. You are given access to a streamlined Quick Request Form (or direct email/phone contact with your Care Coordinator) designed exclusively for returning families.

When a specific need arises—whether for travel expenses, household bills, or emergency medical costs—submit a Quick Assistance Request.
What you provide: Type of expense, dollar amount, and a copy of the bill/receipt (if applicable).

Approved requests are either paid directly to the service provider (e.g., utility company, landlord) or disbursed directly to your family for quick relief.

Stay connected for future assistance whenever needs arise throughout treatment. You'll also receive invitations to private family gatherings, honoree events, and community support opportunities.
Family Fund Grant Assistance
Use this form to introduce your child and connect your family with our care network. Registering gets you into our system so you can easily request financial aid, access travel support, and join community events whenever you need us.
New Family Registration
The Brave the Shave Family Fund offers financial assistance to North Dakota families affected by childhood cancer, available through one year post-treatment.
Important Guidelines:
Processing Time: Requests are reviewed in the order received. Please submit travel requests at least 2 weeks in advance.
Direct Payments: To avoid processing delays, approved funds are mailed directly to creditors via check. Please do not arrange phone or online auto-payments.
